Gary Schafer is the founder of STEMBRAIN Studio, a creative studio in Southern New Jersey that explores art, science & technology through making and tinkering. Gary trains educators, develops playful environments, and creates unique handmade exhibits for libraries and makerspaces.
Previously, Gary was a founding member of the gadgetfactory.us tinkering studio, where he developed many different workshops and activities that have been used, adapted and remixed in innovative education settings as part of teacher professional development.
He has worked closely with partners at Southern Regional Institute and Educational Technology Training Center at Stockton University, Make Magazine MakerCamp, South Jersey Makers MeetUp and New Jersey Maker's Day to develop a deep understanding of the latest developments in STEAM education. Member
